Service Description

Please use this option when you would like to schedule a one hour consultation to discuss your legal matter. I will provide legal advice for your situation, if it is within my areas of expertise, and you will be billed for this in advance by booking this flat fee service. This consultation is intended for a situation where you are seeking advice, but not seeking estate planning document drafting services or business law document drafting services. Please choose this option if you have some brief legal questions that you would like to discuss with an Attorney. You will pay a flat fee for this service. If after one hour you have additional questions, you can continue the conversation at the Attorney's Regular Hourly Rate of $250/hour. If you choose not to continue the conversation, you pay only the flat fee listed above. Once you book the appointment you can pay the fee directly online with a credit or debit card. Note: Paying for the service in advance is a flat fee payment that will be deposited in the Attorney's business account and not in a trust account. This fee is fully earned when purchased and is a payment for reserving the Attorney's time in advance. Formally engaging the Attorney is subject to a written fee agreement being signed between the potential client and the Attorney. If Attorney chooses not to accept the client, Attorney can cancel the appointment and return any funds paid electronically, less transaction fees (3% for Square or Paypal), to potential client.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations, please cancel at least 24-48 hours in advance to avoid paying the flat fee due under the service you selected. You can reschedule your appointment if absolutely necessary (due to unforeseen circumstances or illness) within 24 hours of your appointment by notifying the office via email. We will work with you to reschedule your appointment or if it is an in person appointment or move it to a video or phone conference or reschedule at an alternate date. For cancellations made in advance of 24 hours, your flat fee payment may be returned to you at the discretion of the Attorney, less any online payment processing fees already incurred by Burton Law LLC. Please note the booking fee for our flat fee estate planning consultations is non-refundable and is a fee charged to reserve your time on our calendar.
